Hi, I’m Chadd from the Ottawa office. I’m in the Audit & Assurance Group (AAG) and after recently returning from a five month secondment to Charlotte, NC I am currently transitioning to our office’s fast-growing government audit group.

Community involvement is very dear to me so I was hoping you could tell me a little bit about the PwC foundation and how it relates to you personally. I know PwC encourages employees to participate in volunteer initiatives and rewards diligent volunteers with a donation to the charity of their choice and it also offers valuable tools such as the volunteer continuum. How has this impacted your experience with PwC?

Hi Elizabeth! I'm Samrah. I met you very briefly, at Show Me the Green with UTM in March when you were conducting the workshop with Melanie Ayer. I hope you're doing well.

I just wanted to ask regarding the recruitment process. Since I am a graduate, does PwC prefer people who have already passed some of the CA exams or people who have work experience in a firm?

Good evening everyone. Thank you PwC for taking time to chat with everyone. (I am currently in the Netherlands hence the "good evening") I am from the Windsor area and am inquiring what to expect engagement wise regarding clients in the GTA, being a larger market.

Hi, I am interested in a Summer Coop in Strategy Consulting. Could you please provide more info on this?
by Roian9/19/2012 8:04:59 PM
Hi Victoria - you can go right into Deals after graduating. However, for Forensics, you should gain a foundation in Audit and Assurance before transferring. Usually at the Senior Associate level, individuals will move into Forensics!
by elizabeth.m.bendia9/19/2012 8:28:15 PM
Hello Uria! Great question! By being offered the "Campaign Star" role and the "National Blogger" role at such an early point in my career (just a as a New Associate), I find it amazing that the firm will invest in you from the "get-go"!
by Fahad Meer9/19/2012 8:28:52 PM
Good afternoon Johnny, that’s a great question! I really enjoyed my time on secondment in North Carolina getting to know colleagues from all over the world. I was on an audit team with people with South Africa, Japan, and USA! It was amazing to see how a group of people who had the same training all approached audit situations differently! I certainly learned a ton and have connections all over the world now!
by chadd.j.vandermade9/19/2012 8:29:06 PM
@Trevor Lansdell Hi Trevor, at a graduate level we recruit into CA or CPA positions. The CFA is about markets and is useful for our Deals group but we don't tend to hire many students directly into this area - if you have experience you could apply via our experienced recruitment website.
by james.x.davidson9/19/2012 8:29:49 PM
Sort of related to Marium's question; what sort of international rotation opportunities are there at PwC? Will I only be able to travel if an arm of my client's operations are located somewhere or is there a dedicated program geared towards learning and working internationally?
by _umer_far9/19/2012 8:30:01 PM
Thanks Elizabeth. I'm doing well. Genesis Park does sound like a great leadership opportunity for those in a leadership position, and I hope to be a part of it in the near future.
I wanted to ask you how has the Enhanced Working Practices at PwC helped you as an individual when approaching certain issues with audit or other areas of work, and what did you learn from such experiences overall?
