Hi everyone, my name is Laura Gilchrist and I lead PwC's Audit & Assurance campus recruiting team in the Greater Toronto Area. Hi all - I'm Jon and I'm a senior manager in the audit and assurance group in Vancouver. I have focus mainly on retail clients but have exposure to real estate, entertainment, technology and financial services industry. I have been with the firm for 8 years and spent 2.5 years on a secondment in the Brisbane Australia office. I also head up the UBC recruiting team and teach a national milestone course for our experienced senior associates. Hi There, I lead PwC's Campus Talent Acquisition team. I've worked for PwC for 7.5 years, originally joining the firm in London England, before relocating to PwC Canada 3.5 years ago. I'm tasked with ensuring our national attraction and selection efforts support the firm and our business requirements as well as our local campus teams.
Hi Natalie, Great question! At an event on campus there can be a large number of students and the potential to feel overwhelmed. Try to have a good conversation with the person you are meeting and come prepared with the questions you want to have answered. Also, don't be afraid to tell the PwC person about yourself - they are interested in who you are! Following up via email is a great way to maintain those connections.

We often hear this saying, " It does not matter how good your Resume & Cover letter is, If you did not network with the recruiters or people working in your firm then your Application is not looked at"!! How far is this saying true
Hi all! My name is Hasanain and I'm a second year at the University of Waterloo. Thanks for holding this chat! As I work on co-op applications, I would like to ask what is that ONE thing (in your opinion) that usually distinguishes an applicant for being considered to work at PwC.
While building relationships is an important aspect of your career, wherever you choose to start it, we look at all applications that come in. We are looking for well rounded candidates. It is always great to be able to put a face to the name, and we host numerous recruiting events throughout the year to meet you on campus; however, even if we haven't met you, we still review your application!
For students who do network and participate in groups! Say on the day of the CA/CPA night, they manage to network with the recruiters and associates in the company they want to work in! However, their Resume and Cover letter is not up to the quality expected. Maybe Grammatical Errors or English is not their first language! Would the good impression made on the recruiters be eliminated due to errors found in the Resume and Cover letter and cost the applicant a chance to be called for an interview??
Hello PwC. Currently going through the recruiting process, I understand why new recruits would select PwC. However from the perspective of a client, what attracts clients to the firm? What are some of PwC's strengths and how does PwC differentiate their services from other firms? Thank you!
Hi James. I am new at Canada with ACCA designation under my belt (Industry experience only). Though, I am underway to acquire CSC and CGA; would i still be considered at my current age of 30 for CA training/ articleship (three years I believe) at PWC as I wish to pursue my CA at Canada either with or without CSC and CGA. Would CGA and CSC give me an additional advantage over other candidates? Please suggest how should I go about with the current scenario?
