Hello everyone, my name is Stuart, a digital manager for PwC Canada. we're pleased to have a few campus representatives with us today who are ready to chat with you!
Hi There, my name is James Davidson and I lead PwC Canada's campus talent acquisition team. I've worked for PwC for almost 7 years, joining the firm in London England before transitioning to the Canadian firm in 2010.
Hi Stuart, Francis and James. I have over tow years' worth of experience in a consulting practice in Vancouver (Enterprise risk, ITGCs, corporate finance). How is PwC's consulting practice different from that other firms?

Hey, I am recent MBA graduate (degree focused on Global Mining Management & Finance) with a B.Eng. degree in metallurgy and 5+ years work experience in mining & metals sector. I am really interested in pursuing career opportunities with PWC-Mining division. In this regard, I would like to know whether PWC is recruiting MBA graduates in industry specific domains or not. Do PWC has special recruitment procedure for the same?
Hi, this question is for James. When interviewing candidates, are you most interested in a candidate who works independently, on a team, cross-functionally, or through a combination of them all? Can you give me an example?
Hi Youngwoo! Thanks for participating today! I would say that my main challenge was to balance speed and quality. A day only having 24 hours, you really need to understand how many hours/minutes you should dedicate to each tasks. I overcame that challenge by making sure i was communicating effectively with the stakeholder i was deleviring to.
Hello, thanks for taking the time for this group chat!, I'm Guy - 2012 grad from U of T with distinction in History & Politics & applying to both Toronto&Calgary programs. I'm doing the Csc exams soon (gain better finance grounding), would you reccomend I do the CFA as well?
Hello everyone. Thank you Rachel, James and Francis for spending this time with us. My name is Manuela and I am a recent BCom Graduate from McGill University. I am very interested in your entry level consulting rotational program. I would like to know what type of work does an entry level consultant do at PwC.
I understand that positions for consulting associates are geared towards undergraduate students. I was hoping to learn more about any MBA entry points. I am a career changer coming from a science background, and have a year's experience through co-ops in public and private industries and have completed a summer internship within a consulting practice in Toronto.
Hi James and Rachel. Does PwC have any co-op consulting positions? I am a 4th year Science & Business student at UWaterloo and have one co-op term left. Most of the positions I have seen on Jobmine, however, are accountant-related. Thanks!
Hello, My name is Levi Kedowide, graduating Senior majoring in Accounting at Suffol University- (Boston, Ma). I am interested in a career in consulting in Canada. Do you have a program targeted to future graduates who are interested in joining your consulting practice? Thanks.
Hi James, I understand PwC has specific short and long term goals/needs. According to an article I read, the firm plans to make 1000 new campus hires. I’m not sure if this applies to Canada as well. If so, what specific areas of the consulting practice are in demand right now?
Hi Rachel, James, and Francis, I am wondering if you guys will be coming to any campuses in Canada? I just moved from Saskatoon to Calgary, where I heard U of C will be having a career fair. Is there any chance to meet you guys?
Hi James, love that PwC is being so interactive. I am Praneet Batwar from University of the Fraser Valley, my question is what specific things do you look for in an applicants resume for the Management Consulting Associate positon (Technology Practice).
Hi All, NEW THIS YEAR - at our second stage assessment centre we'll be asking you to complete a cognitive reasoning assessment focused on diagrammatic reasoning - The assessment was developed by an assessment organization, SHL, and is aimed at evaluating your ability to recognize logical rules governing sequences. This will be alongside a Partner interview, written assessment and an assessed group case exercise!
Remember to make your resume and cover letter count! Tie them to PwC and our rotational program, what appeals to you about this and what does PwC offer - don't use a generic cover letter as you'll get ruled out from our selection process
Hi guys, Sorry for my previous blunder! I'm working off my phone and let's just say big hands and a touch screen aren't a good pair. Anyways, like I was saying thanks for taking questions, it is much appreciated. I'll try not to take up too much of your time. I know PwC looks for outstanding leadership evidenced by your resume. However, due to personal, exigent circumstances I was unable to take on as many leadership roles as I would have liked. I do, however, have unconventional leadership experience (raising a family in the absence of our primary caregiver). Essentially, I'm wondering how and if I should include this in my application? Cheers, Kyle Cogger
